Went there yesterday on my way back to Wilmington NC for a quick lunch, it was the first time I've been there in thirty years. Bottom line it was just as good as I remember in the eighties and nineties. One of the best 🍔 I've ever had if not the best. Melvin's Elizabeth Town NC it's a must!

Believe the hype. Top tier service and friendly staff they were immaculate and very personable. All the way dog was better than expected and I had high expectations this is the spot to eat in the area without a doubt. Iconic and classic would highly recommend to any and all.

Melvin's deserves 10 stars in everything except the cookies, but the star burgers are amazing!!! driving through and the family decided to have something local and only in North Carolina landed us at Melvin's best decision ever!! my kids who never finish anything all finished their cheeseburgers! they are simple yet exquisite! don't be scared the line seems long but moves fast! go to Melvin's!!!

First time at the Famous Melvin’s. Menu is simple, food is tasty and hot. Got a dog and a burger, all the way. Loved the slaw, and should have asked for extra chilly it was so good. Hot dog was tender, and the burger had that wonderful flattop crust but not overdone. Ate inside and watched a crazy long line form and be served quickly. Definitely worth a stop if in the neighborhood. Don’t let a line out the door stop you.

Line was out the door but moved extremely fast. Hot Dogs were fantastic and Cheeseburger was cooked perfect. Definitely visiting again next time I'm in the area.

Stopped at Melvin's on a Saturday morning about 10:45. The line was from the cashier to the back door and then looping back. But it only took about 15 minutes until we had our food. A good quality boiled dog all the way. You might want to ask him to go light slaw. While I was waiting I probably saw 100 dogs going out the door plus a cooler flow for a ball team. Everyone was friendly courteous but keep the line moving. They will definitely get a return visit if we're in the area again
